Name: Executive Project for the Maldonado Stream Basin
Brief Description: To mitigate flooding problems, the following measures were taken: Increasing the catchment capacity of the catchment areas; Increasing the capacity of the existing main conduit through two relief tunnels; Caving in 1,177 m of the current outfall; Increasing the conveyance capacity of the secondary collection conduit networks.
Execution of complementary basic studies.
Socioeconomic and financial evaluation and development of the project, in-depth technical, environmental, urban planning, institutional, and legal studies for both structural and non-structural measures.
