Inauguration of the low level passage under Federico Lacroze Av. and Mitre Railway

A new tunnel that links Chacarita and Palermo. October 2013

At the end of 2012, AUSA awarded Latinoconsult S.A. the inspection of the work of the Low Level Pass of Av. Federico Lacroze and FFCC Miter tracks, thus being a participant in the set of projects for the elimination of barriers in the C.A.B.A. in order to avoid accidents and speed up vehicle flow.

The Paso Bajo Nivel has 4 lanes of vehicular traffic (2 + 2) of 3.30m each, a gauge of 4.30m, and a longitudinal slope of 7%, suitable for light and bus traffic. The total length of the viaduct is 268.50m and the speed of movement within the viaduct is 40km / h. It has side streets of coexistence allowing accessibility to the fronts. Two road bridges were built, one for the Cramer Street crossing over the viaduct and the other linking the streets of coexistence on the east side. The railroad crossing structure consists of a two-way wide gauge bridge, designed with post-tensioned (pre-cast) U-section beams. The pedestrian crossing is made up of stairs, walkways and ramps suitable for the circulation of people with reduced mobility. It has a storm drain system linked to a pumping well with three submersible pumps and a generator set.
