Name: Engineering studies and projects for the Garabí and Panambí Hydroelectric Power Plants
Brief description: The Garabí Hydroelectric Power Plant will be located at km 863 of the Uruguay river. It will have an installed capacity of 1,152 MW. It will have eight hydroelectric generator sets and a 22-gate spillway with a discharge capacity of 80,066 m³/s. The scope of the works includes technical-economic studies and a bidding process for the construction of the works. The first stage is the preliminary design; the second stage is the bidding process.
The Panambí Hydroelectric Power Plant will be located at km 1,016 of the Uruguay river. Its installed capacity is estimated at 1,048 MW. It will be equipped with seven hydroelectric generator sets and two spillways with 12 and 10 gates, each 19.7 m wide, with a total discharge capacity of 81,511 m³/s. m³/s. The scope of the works includes technical and economic studies and a bidding project for the construction of the works. The first stage is the preliminary project; the second stage is the bidding project.
