Type of Work: Technical and environmental inspection. 

The Work consisted of the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant on the southern defense of the City of Formosa, for a population of 184,000 inhabitants, whose treated effluent will be propelled to the Riacho Oro, some 2,600 m distant, with a pipeline over the defense itself. Project flows at 10 years are 0.554 m³ / sec and at 20 years, 0.93 m³ / sec. The hydroelectromechanical work has 6,235 m³ of concrete. The Consultant developed all the necessary technical and administrative activities to ensure that the Contractor will execute the works effectively complying with the stipulations contained in their respective Contract, in the designs and in the Specifications. The work included the review of the Contractor’s socio-environmental Management Plan and the monitoring of its implementation.

Type of Work: Project Review and Construction Supervision. 

The purpose of the work is to satisfy the demand for drinking water in a large area in the north of the Province of Chaco called “El Impenetrable”. The works to be carried out are: – Capture in the Bermejo River by means of a floating pontoon in the Pintado; – Raw water conduction until pre-treatment 90 m pipe A ° Ø 500 mm; – Aqueduct of pre-sedimentation water to Wichí HDPE D. 500 mm, length 7,713 m; – Elevator Station to the treatment plant in Wichí and to the Nueva Pompeya Mission, pumping capacity: 0.77 m³ / sec; – Treatment plant with slow filters in Wichí to supply Wichi and El Sauzal and complementary works. The hydroelectromechanical work has 13,500 m³ of concrete. The work includes reviewing the Contractor’s socio-environmental Management Plan and monitoring its implementation.

Type of Work: Review of Executive Project and Inspection of works. 

The main tasks carried out in the Supervision were: cleaning of the section and conditioning of channels and sewer beds; auscultation of existing rails; removal of existing track; conformation of the new subgrade and cross-sectional profile of the track zone; assembly and placement of the new narrow gauge track structure; provision and watering of stone ballast and its compaction; renovation, rehabilitation and overhaul of track devices; renewal of Level Crossings; Reconditioning of used rails for reuse and total renovation of culverts. The work included the monitoring of the Environmental Management Plan and the control of hygiene and safety in the contractor’s work.

The works built, located about 3 km downstream from the border with the Province of Salta, in the area called Cruz Bajada, included the execution of a weir over the Salado River, a sand trap, a fish ladder, an intake that allowed the diversion of from the river a flow of 18 m³ / s feeding the Link Channel (0.5 km long) to the distributor node of flows and, from the latter, to the section that was built of the Canal de Dios (22.8 km long ).

At the time of its construction, this bridge, reinforced with precast and post-tensioned concrete girder-box elements, was considered the longest in South America. It is a communication route more than 1,600 m long, which crosses the Paraná River, and which has been of fundamental importance for the economic and social relations of the Chaco and Corrientes provinces.
