Type of Work: Technical assistance and inspection of the works. 

The NEA-NOA Interconnection includes the construction of a series of energy transportation and transformation works in northern Argentina. The works include the Engineering and Consulting services of the specialty to carry out the Technical Assistance and the Technical and Environmental Inspection of the Works of the Norte Grande Electric Transmission System (LEAT 500 KV and Associated Transformer Stations). They have been divided into two parts, the northwest and the northeast. The consortium that integrates Latinoconsult was in charge of those corresponding to the northwest, called Item I and include the construction and expansion of transformer stations and the laying of Extra High Voltage Lines (LEAT) of 500 kV in alternating current with a maximum capacity of 1,150 MW , between the stations of El Bracho (Tucumán) and Cobos (Salta), between Cobos and San Juancito (Jujuy) and between Cobos and Monte Quemado (Santiago del Estero). Total 630 km. The work included the review of the Contractor’s socio-environmental Management Plan and the monitoring of its implementation.

Type of Work: Technical assistance and Inspection of the works. 

The Comahue-Cuyo interconnection, in its northern section, includes the construction of a series of energy transport and transformation works to carry out technical assistance and technical and environmental inspection of the works of the interconnection system between the T.S. Greater Mendoza and the T.S. The Reyunos. The works include: a) a LEAT in 500 kV between the mentioned station, with a length of 188 km and a LAT in 200 kV between the new T.S. Los Reyunos and the existing one, with a length of 7 km; and b) T.S. transformers in Greater Mendoza (expansion) and the new T.S. in Los Reyunos, both in 500 kV and the expansion of the latter in 220 kV. The work included the review of the Contractor’s socio-environmental Management Plan and the monitoring of its implementation.

Type of Work: Feasibility Studies, Survey Preparation and Transportation Model Software.

The service includes conducting an origin and destination survey in around 2,000  households in the municipalities of Posadas, Garupá and Candelaria, in the Province of Misiones. In addition, traffic counts were carried out in specific areas. All of this served to design a 4-Stage Model. The information collected was loaded into a Transcad transportation software, which, after being calibrated, becomes a valuable tool for planning the expansion of the current metropolitan integrated transportation system. The transfer station and the exclusive lanes of the main access roads to it were designed. The work includes a socio-environmental impact study.

The AH Garabí is located at km 863 of the Uruguay River, in the municipalities of Garruchos, Province of Corrientes, Argentina and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. It has an installed power of 1,152 MW. It is equipped with 8 vertical axis Kaplan-type hydrogenerators and a 22-gate spillway with an evacuation capacity of 80,066 m³ / s. The closure consists of a homogeneous dam of loose material 2,430 m long and 40.5 m high. The object of the works included the technical-economic studies and the bidding project for the construction of the works. First Stage: Preliminary Project and Second Stage: Bidding Project. The AH Panambí is located at km 1016 of the Uruguay River, in the Municipalities of Oberá, Province of Misiones, Argentina and Alecrim of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. An installed power of 1048 MW is estimated. It is planned to equip 7 Kaplan-type hydrogenerator groups and two weirs with 12 and 10 gates of 19.7 m wide each, with a total evacuation capacity of 81,511 m³ / s. The initial studies contemplate a concrete dam 90 m long and 34 m high. The object of the works includes the technical-economic studies and the bidding project for the construction of the works. First Stage: Preliminary Project and Second Stage: Bidding Project.

Type of Work: Climatological and hydrological studies. 

Climatological and hydrological studies (determination of the locations of meteorological stations and gauging, etc.) of the Colorado River basin, which has 134,000 km². Design of a scheme for the multiple use of water resources that considered two alternatives with their respective stages of placing under irrigation of dominated areas, river and construction of regulation and diversion dams. The net irrigable area was 1,100,000 ha. The installed power in the possible uses was 560 MW and the annual energy of 30,906 Wh.
